Good luck to all our teams who are competing in the Winter League

Club Tennis

The club welcomes players of all standards, and there are opportunities for each member to find the activity, group or session that suits them best.

Club sessions

The club has two sessions each week that are open to all members. These sessions are designed as primarily social, rather than ultra-competitive. There is a rota of more experienced members who volunteer to take charge at these club sessions. The role of the member in charge is to organise the members who turn up at a particular session into groups to play each other, and to circulate players so that everyone enjoys their game.

The sessions take place on Mondays and Fridays – start 6.00 p.m. April to Sept, 6.30 p.m. Oct to March.

Juniors who are able to play with adults may join in the club sessions. However, there are also specific junior club sessions on Saturday mornings.

Private use

Members can book a court for a group of members that they have arrangedto play with privately. The court bookings diary can be accessed via the members zone

Annual French Exchange

Since 1986 an annual tournament is held over the August Bank Holiday weekend between Sherborne Tennis Club and members of Acigne Tennis Club, a small town near Rennes in Brittany.

If you would like the opportunity to join in with our Tennis Twinning Partnership then please contact Russell Willson for more details. If you are a junior and would like to take part please contact Fiona Morgan.
